  • Mentorship

    ISMP offers personal mentorship where international students will be paired with a college graduate working professionals. Our mentors are experienced in a variety of topics to help international students adjust to and excel in their life in the US.

What is ISMP?

International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) is a nonprofit organization with a network of volunteer mentors and working professionals. We provide mentorship to international students helping them navigate through their college and graduate school experience at UBC.

    Our mentors are college graduates and working professionals who are dedicated to understanding your academic goals and guiding you through life in Canada

    Join our workshops where we cover helpful topics such as time management skills, interview prep, resume writing, career advice, finding a job/internship, interpersonal skills, and more!

    English Cafe is a safe space to practice English with our mentors with free snacks and refreshments.

Adjusting to Canada as an international student can be difficult. At ISMP, our mentors will help provide advice on college life , practice your English, learn about western culture, and adapt from student life to working professional life.
