3 Interesting Fact About UCSD
UCSD’s vision is to have 12 colleges just like Oxford. The Sixth College construction was recently completed and the start of Seventh College has been located in the old Village apartments. Both Sixth and Seventh College have not been named.
There are 3 special trees located near the main library, Geisel. The singing tree and silent tree are in the small grove next to library walk. Don’t be afraid if you hear talking or singing at night walking down library walk! The last tree, the silent tree, is the tall tree in front of Geisel.
The blue house that looked like it fell from the sky onto Jacobs Hall is called The Falling Star. This is an art installation created by an international student, Do Ho Suh, simulating the disorienting feeling as an international student in America.

UTC Mall
UTC Mall is constantly adding more restaurants. It currently has about 50 restaurants, cafes and dessert shops with a large food court, milk tea shops (Wushiland, Happy Lemon), Shake Shack, Din Tai Fung, 85 Degrees, and many more. This year, they will add Hai Di Lao and Qin West Noodle.
