ISMP (International Student Mentorship Program)는 미국 명문 대학 출신 직장인들의 재능기부로 운영되는 미국의 501(c)(3) 교육 비영리 단체입니다. ISMP Korea는 대학생들의 유학준비와 영어 회화 능력을 기를 수 있도록 다양한 멘토링 및 교육 프로그램을 제공합니다.

ISMP Korea의 대표 프로그램인 [미영카]는 4주간 진행되는 영어 프리토킹 프로그램으로, 한국 대학생들이 미국 멘토들과 매칭되어 자연스러운 영어 대화와 따뜻한 커뮤니티를 경험하는 모임입니다.

ISMP Ambassador는 미영카 1기·2기 참여자만 지원 가능합니다.

International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) is a non-profit program organized by working professionals who graduated from top U.S. universities. We support students preparing to study abroad while also helping them grow in their spoken English. Our flagship program [미영카] is a 4-week experience where students come together for personal growth, community, and English practice.

Applications for ISMP Ambassador are open only to participants of Miyoungka Cohorts 1 and 2.

※ 본 포지션은 대학(원)생 또는 입학 예정자만 지원 가능하며, 학업과 병행할 수 있도록 유연하게 운영됩니다.

    • 책임감 있고, 주도적으로 활동할 수 있는 분

    활동 내용 및 시간

    • 총 활동 시간: 약 4시간 내외

      • 기획/아이디어 브레인스토밍 미팅 2회
        (회당 약 2시간)

    주요 역할

    • 본인의 기존 네트워크를 활용하여 ISMP Korea 및 [미영카] 홍보

    • 미영카 참여 경험을 바탕으로 관심 있는 학생들에게 프로그램 소개

    • 캠퍼스 내 ISMP Korea 인지도 확산에 기여

    • [미영카] 이후에도 ISMP와 계속 함께하고 싶은 분

ISMP 네트워크와 연결되어 있었던 학생들을 대상으로, 서울에서 진행되는 미영카(Miyoungka) 프로그램에 함께 이끌어 갈 미영카 티칭 에이드(Miyoungka Teaching Aide) 지원자를 모집합니다.

We are inviting students who were previously connected with our ISMP Network to apply for the Miyoungka Teaching Aide position and partner with us by participating in our Miyoungka Program here in Seoul.

This role is ideal for students who:

  • Had a meaningful previous ISMP experience

  • Want to continue involvement in mentorship and community after in Korea

  • Desire the depth of conversations and professional growth opportunities through ISMP

Miyoungka Teaching Aide

Role Description

The Miyoungka(MYK) Teaching Aide role is a student position for individuals who participated in or were connected to ISMP in any of our locations and want to remain engaged with the ISMP community in Korea.

This role exists to ensure that the ISMP experience does not end when their program ends, but instead continues into the future through mentorship, community, and shared growth in Korea.

Teaching Aides can offer support to the Miyoungka program by volunteering to participate as members of the ISMP Korea community.

  • Eligibility Requirements

    • Must have been connected with the ISMP Network (through ISMP programs, mentorship, or community involvement)

    • Must be one of the following:

      • A current undergraduate or graduate student

      • A student who was an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of participation in ISMP

    • Desire to remain engaged with ISMP while living in Korea

    Note:
    If you were connected with a specific ISMP mentor, please indicate their name in the comments/questions section of the application.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Miyoungka program as a Teaching Aide by showing up 30 minutes early to help set up and run through the program

    • Pair with an ISMP mentor and assist them to, depending on your ability, engage with participants during program activities

    • Attend Miyounka Sessions and ISMP Events when possible, and communicate if you are unable to attend

  • 1. Free Participation in Miyoungka

    • 100% waived participation fee Miyoungka (50,000 KRW)

    • Opportunity to meet other Korean university students from different campuses

    • Estimated time commitment:

      • Approximately 6 hours TOTAL over the course of 4 weeks

    2. Leadership Training

    • Developing students’ ability to plan, present, and help facilitate MYK content

    • Some areas of growth may include:

      • Life and career guidance

      • Personal growth and reflection

      • English conversation practice

    • Extra 1-on-1 meetings available with ISMP mentors are available in person or via Zoom

    3. Continuation of the ISMP Experience

    • Continue experiencing the mentorship, community, and values encountered through ISMP

    • Maintain meaningful relationships beyond geographic location

    • Stay connected to a global ISMP network while living in Korea

    4. ISMP Monthlies Participation

    • Miyoungka Teaching Aides are encouraged to attend ISMP Monthlies

    • Opportunity to connect with:

      • ISMP mentors

      • Other students and alumni

    • A space to build ongoing community through ISMP gatherings

  • This role is ideal for students who:

    • Currently attend or recently attended an accredited university

    • Had a meaningful ISMP experience in the past

    • Want to continue mentorship and community while studying in Korea

    • Desire the depth of relationships and conversations built through ISMP
